Normal skin is not noticeably oily, dry, or sensitive. Normal skin produces enough sebum (oil) to maintain its hydration without appearing greasy or making it prone to clogged pores. Those with a normal skin type can generally tolerate most skincare products without experiencing burning, stinging, or irritation. However, those with a normal skin type can experience fluctuations in hydration levels that make the skin more oily or dry at times, or lead to occasional breakouts. Although normal skin may require less maintenance and be more tolerant of potent skincare ingredients (such as retinol) as compared to other skin types, normal skin requires proper daily care.
